An Over view of Nepal
Namaste and welcome to the visitors in the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. Nepal is a country with diverse cultures, habitants and a challenging geographical setup that has spread in the total area of 147981 sq km. If you just go around and study it’s a feast of temples and stupa and unique traditional buildings.

If you want to trek, it offers probably the best walking in the world. There are many virgin tracks distant and exquisite. These treks are Mt Everest, Annapurna, Kanchanjunga, Gosainkunda, Helambu, langtang, Jumla, rara, Mustang, Dolpa, Manaslu, Mt Dhaulagiri & Arun valley, and there are many small treks around Katmandu and Pokhara valley for day excursion as well.
Geographically, Nepal is land-locked and is sandwiched between China and India. The geographical setting of Nepal ranges from round the clock snow capped mountains to forested as well as naked hills and plain fertile low land adjoining India. It is the only place in the world where you can find the roof of the world and the deepest George i.e. the George of Kaligandaki River. If we travel down 100 Kilometers diagonally, we find almost a sea-level altitude plain. That is why Nepal accommodates a rich bio-diversity in a comparatively smaller geographical space. Nepal is mostly covered with mountain ranges and it has attracted people like mountaineers, trekkers, naturalists, explorers, scientists, pilgrims, ascetics and cultural tourists from far and wide.

 

Due to this diversity of cultures and attractions of nature, BBC travel study on 2002 showed Nepal as the most sought destination in the whole world. The extreme group which organizes a lavish, adventurous and a well-rewarded sports in different parts of the world has chosen the Mount Everest trekking as its finale for 2002 extremes.
In Nepal, a trekking trip can be of any length of days. There are popular mini–treks around the Katmandu and Pokhara valleys which take 2.3,5,or 7 days and there are longer treks lasting a week to one and half months. In addition, the mountaineering, adventure sports and cultural tours are famous. Nepal offers some of the most spectacular and beautiful places in the world .The Mountains are best known in the world to the extent that Nepal has nearly a monopoly on the world’s highest peaks; eight of the ten highest mountains, are located in this country. Nepalese people and villages are really delightful and the scenery of the places as well. General friendliness and good sense of humor of the Nepalese are famous everywhere.
